The QCOG 2002 Set Anniversary

Notes from Reunion Planning Committee,

Hello Friends,

QCOG 2002 SET REUNION – 20 YEARS LATER

THE PLAN

➢ To donate a project to the school to support the needs of our Alma Mata

➢ To organize mentoring and Interactive sessions with current students

➢ To hold a social gathering of the set: main event in Lagos and remote events in

different cities based on the willingness of residents.

THE GIVEBACK PROJECT

The committee received a list of requirements from the QCOGA projects committee which provided details and estimates of project requirements of the school. These projects ranged in urgency from immediate to 8 months. The cost estimates of the projects were between 300,000 to 5,000,000 Naira.

From the project options provided by the QCOGA parent body, the reunion committee has selected the project to equip the Home Economics Lab of the school with the provided list of Equipment and supplies. This decision was based on the timeline of the requirements as well as affordability. The project list comprises of about one thousand (1000) items ranging from deep freezers and industrial ovens to pots and pans. Basis for requested contribution amount is the initial survey sent out to ladies from our set which received about 110 responses of prospective contributors.

Estimated Project Cost: N 5,000,000

Mentoring sessions and project handover date: Friday, July 15, 2022

Requested contribution: £50 each (minimum)

SOCIAL EVENT(S)

The reunion committee is glad to announce that there will be a reunion dinner party holding in Lagos to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of the graduation of 2002 set.

Ticket cost: £85 each

Dress code: Your School house color (Just a touch of the color or the full outfit )

While we would love to see everyone under one roof, we understand that travel may not be feasible for everyone and so there will be remote events happening simultaneously in cities where there are significant numbers of ladies from our set, there will also be a live link to participate in the events online.
