Hello Friends,
We all need support and assistance every now and then.

Hi everyone, My name is Dami. I’m raising funds for Mrs Adetowubo Adepeju who was diagnosed with ACUTE DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS (DVT) OF LEFT LOWER LIMB AND MULTIPLE INGUINAL LYMPHADENOPATHY at BABCOCK UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL.

She had her baby daughter April 2020 in a reputable private hospital in Surulere Lagos and ever since she has been experiencing swollen legs from thigh downwards, She spoke with the consultant who prescribed some blood thinners and use of TED stockings to promote venous return.

The condition got worse and she was referred to LASUTH, Ikeja Lagos state where she was seen by a consultant who did a surgery on her and an Inferior Vena Cava Filter (IVC), a small metal device that traps large clot fragments and prevents them from traveling through the vena cava vein to the heart and lungs, where they could cause severe complications such as pain, difficulty breathing, shortness of breath or even death.

As of today , the legs are still swollen, changed color and starting to smell, which prompted her to see her consultant at BABCOCK again and She was reviewed and the consultant said the only option is to amputate the affected leg above the knee. She now walks with a wheelchair and sometimes with a walking stick because the pressure on the good leg has made the good leg bent further, causing her pain.

This has really affected her job, care for her child and altered her personal life. She has spent money running into millions of naira already.

Recently she was introduced to a neurovascular surgeon surgeon in the United Kingdom who consulted and gave the only condition to prevent amputation is to be flown to the UK where she will undergo some Tomographic scanning of her blood vessels to make a better diagnosis and planning.

We are looking and hoping for help from well meaning individuals from across the world to help save ADEPEJU’S leg please. May the almighty God meet you all at every point of your needs.

Updates

ChainFundIt is the new, fun, and rewarding way to crowdfund! ChainFundIt encourages participants in crowdfunding campaigns to actively share and promote the campaign; as an act of kindness, and in exchange for financial reward. By so doing, the power of strength in numbers is leveraged to assist in achieving the fundraising campaign goal.

The above fundraiser has been verified by our team. As an organization, we take proactive steps to ensure that campaigns promoted on our platform and all our social channels are genuine needs. Where possible, donations are transferred directly to the institutions rather than to the individuals in a bid to provide comfort that the funds raised will be used for the intended campaign objectives. We provide post-fundraising updates, share success stories of campaigns and make same available to the community of donors for transparency and accountability where possible.

Campaign organisers and donors should note that the progress bar in each Fundraising Campaign will be updated from time to time (where applicable) to reflect the donations raised on the platform, donations raised on other fundraising platforms by the Campaign Organisers and/or any other combined effort towards the Fundraising Campaign.
