Widows’ Medical Outreach

Hello friends,
Every year, the Pillar of Life Charity Centre hosts medical outreaches in Mowe, Ogun State Nigeria. Over 200 widows, the elderly, and children receive diagnosis and treatment for glaucoma, high blood pressure, dental issues, malaria and many more ailments. This service is provided free through our partner doctors and nurses.
However, the beneficiaries travel far from home, hungry, and have to wait for hours to be attended to. We therefore appeal for N600,000 to feed the beneficiaries, provide them basic groceries and transport fare for their return home.
Isaiah 58:10 :” And if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.”
Nigeria has a population of over 215 million people, but only 5% have access to its National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
This outreach is the only access our vulnerable beneficiaries have to medical care.
